Description
The Brompton New C Line Electric is an electric folding bike built for urban commuters who need a genuinely compact, capable ride. Its iconic Brompton fold — achieved in just a few seconds — means you can take it on the Tube, stow it in a car boot, or keep it beside your desk without it taking over your life.
The e-Motiq electric system features a rear hub motor (250 W, 24 Nm) paired with a torque sensor, so assistance responds to how hard you're pedalling rather than just your speed. The result is a natural, bike-like feel rather than a sudden push. Choose from three assistance levels to suit your energy and the gradient ahead. The 345 Wh battery is removable, making it easy to charge at home or at the office independently of the bike itself.
A 4-speed drivetrain covers the range you need across flat urban streets and steeper inclines. Schwalbe Marathon Racer 349 x 35C tyres on 16-inch wheels deliver a comfortable, durable ride on tarmac. The frame is made from precision drawn, heat-treated steel tubing, hand-brazed by skilled craftspeople at Brompton's London factory — a construction method that gives the bike its characteristic rigidity and long service life.
This build comes spec'd with a high handlebar for an upright riding position, a telescopic seatpost for quick height adjustment, and a rear rack for carrying a bag or luggage. The Cloud Metallic finish is a metallic colour exclusive to the 2026 C Line Electric range.
