The Kathmandu Hybrid's Easy Entry frame is designed to do exactly what it says, making adventurous cycling as accessible and straightforward as possible. You step through without swinging a leg over, even with loaded panniers — a detail that counts on a 31.1 kg bike.
What really sets this model apart is its drivetrain. The Enviolo continuously variable hub does away with steps: no gear to pick, no jolt when shifting. It adjusts automatically to conditions, in dialogue with the motor. And because it's paired with a Gates belt rather than a chain, there's no grease on your trouser leg and no drivetrain maintenance. You pedal; the bike handles the rest.
The Bosch Performance CX motor delivers up to 85 Nm — more than enough to carry a loaded bike up a climb without thinking about it. The frame-integrated Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery is rated for 100 to 150 km: a full week of commuting without charging, or a whole weekend away. The Bosch Kiox display keeps an eye on it all.
The Efficient Comfort geometry is built around the Fox 34 Float AWL fork and its 100 mm of travel, with a two-position Sweep-Adjust setting: supple for rough tracks, firm for the road. Shimano XT BR-M8120 brakes at 180 mm front and rear give you the power a bike of this weight demands, loaded and in the rain. Integrated cables, a UDH dropout and the Integrated Carrier 3.0 rack round out a bike built to last.
