Description

The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid ONE11 HPC Pro 800 is a full-suspension electric trekking bike built for riders who want one machine that handles everything: daily urban commuting, weekend gravel excursions and loaded multi-day tours. The front section uses a C:62® Monocoque HPC carbon frame, manufactured with Cube's Advanced Twin Mold process, delivering a stiffness-to-weight ratio and vibration damping that aluminium simply can't match. The 6061 T6 aluminium rear triangle integrates the IC 3.0 carrier directly into its structure for a clean, load-ready build.

Power comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen5 motor, known for smooth, powerful assistance whether you're climbing a steep urban bridge or tackling a forest trail. The Bosch PowerTube 800 Wh battery sits flush inside the downtube, keeping the bike's lines clean and providing substantial range for longer rides. Ride mode selection is handled by the compact, handlebar-mounted Bosch Purion 200 display.

The full-suspension setup — SR Suntour XCR34X Air fork and SR Suntour EdgeX 2CR rear shock, both with 100 mm of travel — takes the sting out of urban bumps and loose gravel. Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency tyres (55 mm wide) on 28-inch wheels round out a comfortable, all-conditions ride quality.

The Shimano Cues 1x11-speed drivetrain and Shimano BR-MT420 hydraulic disc brakes (203/203 mm) handle shifting and stopping with consistent precision. An adjustable stem and a dropper seatpost are included as standard, making fit adjustments quick whether you're on tarmac or a dirt path. Available in sizes S, M, L and XL.

Shimano Cues CS-LG400, 11-50T

The cassette built to survive an electric bike. The Shimano CUES CS-LG400 in 11-50T is an 11-speed cassette built around LINKGLIDE, the technology Shimano developed specifically to answer the problem e-bikes create: a motor that delivers torque constantly wears a drivetrain out far faster than a human leg does. In practice, LINKGLIDE claims up to three times the tooth life of a conventional Hyperglide cassette under high chain tension. The teeth are thicker and the shift ramps redrawn to absorb shifting under load — the kind you make without thinking mid-acceleration, motor at full assist, and which destroys an ordinary drivetrain. Shifting is also smoother in both directions, with noticeably less shock through the pedals. With an 11-13-15-17-20-23-26-30-36-43-50 progression, it covers the ground without gaps: closely spaced ratios at the bottom of the cassette to hold a steady cadence on the flat, and a 50-tooth sprocket so you are never stuck on a climb, loaded or not. It requires a LINKGLIDE drivetrain (matching CUES derailleur and shifter) and takes either a LINKGLIDE or an HG 11-speed chain.

Shimano BR-MT420, Hydr. Disc Brake (203/203)

Braking power where it actually matters: on a heavy, loaded bike, heading downhill. The Shimano BR-MT420 is a four-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper, fitted here with 203 mm rotors front and rear — the largest size in Shimano's mountain bike range. Four pistons instead of two means a larger pad surface and better-distributed pressure: around 20% more power than the two-piston version, and above all power that doesn't fade after three corners. On an electric mountain bike weighing 25 kg before the rider even gets on, that is not a luxury. The aluminium alloy body sheds heat, and the mineral oil circuit keeps a consistent bite point in the rain, in mud, or after a long descent. The D03S resin pads supplied as standard deliver progressive, quiet braking; they can be swapped for metallic D02S pads for greater heat resistance and better wet-weather performance — both share the same shape. The post-mount fitting is standard, so servicing can be done by any bike shop and spare parts are available everywhere.
