Description
The Giant Revolt 1 is built for riders who want to go further than the tarmac allows. The ALUXX 6061 single-butted aluminium frame strikes a solid balance between weight and durability, while the Advanced-Grade Composite fork with full-composite OverDrive steerer takes the edge off rough surfaces — an important detail on long gravel days.
One of the Revolt 1's most practical features is its flip chip dropout. By flipping a small integrated chip, you can increase tyre clearance from 45 mm to 53 mm — giving you the flexibility to run wide, grippy tyres on rough trails or switch back to a narrower, faster setup when the route calls for it. The 700c tubeless-prepared wheels add to this versatility: set them up tubeless and you can run lower pressures for better traction and significantly fewer flats on gravel roads.
The Shimano GRX RX-400 2x10 groupset is designed with off-road riding in mind. The 11-34 cassette provides a wide enough range to handle steep climbs with a loaded bag, while still offering enough top-end gearing for flat, open sections. The hydraulic disc brakes — also GRX RX-400 — respond with confidence and require minimal lever effort, whether you're descending a muddy track or navigating wet roads.
The D-Fuse composite seatpost adds a layer of vertical compliance that you feel over time rather than all at once — it simply takes the edge off vibration without changing how the bike handles. It also accepts a standard round 30.9 mm post or a dropper post if you want to upgrade later. Paired with the Giant Contact XR D-Fuse handlebar, the Revolt 1 is a thoughtfully spec'd gravel bike available in sizes S through XL.
