Merida eTMO 500 EQ

The Merida eTMO 500 EQ is a full-suspension electric mountain bike designed for riders who want to push trails on weekends and still have a practical, capable bike for everyday use. The LITE I aluminium frame houses a Bosch PowerTube 600 Wh battery cleanly within the downtube — it's removable for home charging and doesn't disrupt the bike's balanced appearance. The Bosch Performance Line PX motor produces 90 Nm of torque and peaks at 700 W, delivering smooth, immediate assistance whether you're grinding up a steep climb or pushing through mixed terrain.

Suspension is handled by a SR Suntour Zeron 36X air fork and SR Suntour Edge X rear shock, both with 140 mm of travel. That's enough to take the sting out of roots, rocks and trail chatter before it reaches your hands and back. A 65° head tube angle puts the geometry firmly in modern All Mountain territory: stable at speed on descents, yet responsive enough for tighter switchbacks. The 446 mm chainstay length — consistent across all frame sizes — keeps the handling lively and predictable.

The multigrid wheel configuration pairs a 29-inch front wheel for roll-over ability and straight-line confidence with a 27.5-inch rear wheel that lowers the centre of gravity slightly and adds agility. Maxxis Metropass tubeless-ready tyres are fitted front and rear, mounted on Merida Comp TR II aluminium rims with a 28 mm inner width. Braking comes from SRAM DB4 Stealth hydraulic calipers — 4-piston units with 200 mm rotors — offering precise, progressive stopping power even in wet conditions. Gear shifting is managed by a Shimano CUES 10-speed drivetrain with a wide range to suit varied gradients.

The EQ specification adds mudguards, a rear rack, kickstand and integrated lighting, making this a genuinely versatile bike that transitions from trail to commute without any fuss.
