Merida TIME WARP TRI 5000

The Merida TIME WARP TRI 5000 is a dedicated triathlon and time-trial bike for athletes who want an aerodynamic edge without stepping up to a full pro-level budget. The TIME-WARP TRI CF5 IV MAT carbon frame uses thru-axles front (100x12 mm) and rear (142x12 mm) for lateral stiffness and precise power transfer. The geometry is optimised for the low, aggressive position typical of triathlon racing.

Shifting duties are handled by Shimano 105 Di2, a 12-speed electronic groupset that delivers accurate, fatigue-free gear changes at the push of a button — useful when your hands are on the aero extensions and your legs are already working hard. The Shimano 105 R7100 crankset comes in crank lengths matched to frame size (165 mm for XS, 170 mm for S/M, 172.5 mm for L), and the 11-34 cassette covers a wide range of gearing for both flat and hilly courses.

REVER TRIVA hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and rear provide consistent, modulated braking regardless of weather. The Merida Expert CW aluminium MAT wheels (30 mm depth, 19 mm inner width) are Tubeless Ready and paired with Maxxis Highroad 700x28C folding tyres — a tyre well regarded for its balance of speed and puncture resistance on tarmac.

The cockpit is fully carbon MAT: Merida Metron TT handlebar and stem (-17°) and Merida Team TT II aero seatpost. The Merida Expert SL saddle mounts via V-mount. The bike ships with an aero bottle cage, a TIME WARP TRI Bento box and an SW-R9160 bar-end switch — so you can head to the start line without a last-minute shopping list.
