Description
The Moustache Clutch 160.8 is a full-suspension electric mountain bike designed for enduro riding and demanding singletrack. The 6061 aluminium frame integrates both the 780 Wh battery and the Pinion MGU E1.12 motor unit, resulting in a clean frame profile, fully internal cable routing and a low, centred weight distribution. The mullet wheel setup – 29" front for momentum and rollover capability, 27.5" rear for agility – is a well-proven configuration for technical terrain.
What makes the Clutch 160.8 particularly distinctive is its Gates CDX Carbon Drive belt drivetrain. Unlike a chain, the belt requires no lubrication and no periodic adjustment, and it won't derail mid-descent. Paired with the 12-speed gearbox integrated into the Pinion motor unit, it delivers smooth, predictable gear changes regardless of mud, water or trail debris.
The RockShox ZEB Select fork (170 mm travel) and RockShox Vivid Select rear shock (160 mm travel) are tuned specifically by Moustache to match the frame's geometry and intended use. Maxxis Assegai tyres with MaxxGrip 3C compound and DoubleDown casing deliver strong grip in corners and on loose or wet surfaces. The KS Rage-i dropper seatpost offers travel adjusted to each frame size – from 125 mm (S) up to 190 mm (XL) – so you can drop the saddle quickly and stay in control on the descents.
The Clutch 160.8 is available in four sizes (S, M, L, XL) and weighs 26.9 kg in size L. The frame carries a 5-year warranty; the battery and components are covered for 2 years.
