Riese and Muller Multitinker2 silent

The Multitinker2 silent is a load-carrying bike that fits in the footprint of a normal one. Its 20-inch wheels lower the centre of gravity and shorten the wheelbase: the bike stays manoeuvrable in traffic and parks where a full-size cargo bike won't fit — while still carrying children, shopping or kit.

The word "silent" comes from the drivetrain. The Shimano Nexus 5 hub is paired with a belt rather than a chain: no derailleur clatter, no links rubbing, no lubrication to redo. The five gears shift on a grip twist, and the belt leaves no grease behind — a real argument when you load and unload the bike several times a day.

The Bosch Cargo Line motor delivers 100 Nm, torque calibrated for pulling away uphill with a load on board. The frame-integrated Bosch PowerTube 625 Wh battery is rated for 80 to 110 km. The Bosch Purion 200 combines control and display on the bars without cluttering the cockpit.

Comfort comes from the Suntour Mobie 34 CGO Boost fork and its 80 mm of travel, tuned for 20-inch wheels, and from the Cane Creek ViscoSet damping headset, which steadies the steering when the front carrier is loaded — precisely when a cargo bike turns twitchy. Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes at 180 mm front and rear stop the bike under load. This configuration includes the Cargo front carrier as standard, plus the Family kit Plus and the Comfort kit.
