Tern GSD P10

The Tern GSD P10 is a third-generation electric longtail cargo bike built for riders who need to carry more — children, equipment, shopping, or all three at once. Its 6061 aluminium MultiTruss frame, certified to DIN 79010, supports a total system weight of 210 kg with a rider weight limit of 130 kg. That's well beyond what most e-bikes can handle, and it shows in the frame's stiffness and ride confidence even under full load.

The Bosch Cargo Line motor produces 85 Nm of torque with up to 400% pedal assist — the kind of output that makes a loaded start on a steep street much easier. The Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh battery delivers 40 to 102 km depending on terrain and load, and the Fast Swap system means you can slot in a second battery for extended range. Assist modes are managed through the Bosch Purion handlebar control.

The Shimano Deore 1×10 drivetrain with an 11-42T cassette gives a wide range of gears that works equally well on flat urban streets and rolling terrain. Up front, the Suntour custom fork (50 mm travel, thru-axle) takes the edge off cobblestones and kerbs. Magura MT5 four-piston hydraulic brakes with 180 mm rotors provide confident, progressive stopping power — especially important when carrying the maximum rated load.

Practical details are equally well considered: an Atlas G rear rack rated to 100 kg, an Atlas Lockstand Gen 2 that locks automatically when the bike stops, integrated Ignis front light and RearStop brake light, and an ABUS or AXA lock that shares a key with the battery. The handlebar folds in 5 seconds, bringing the footprint down to 182 × 46 × 87 cm — easier to store.
