Tern Orox R14

The Tern Orox R14 is an electric cargo bike engineered for people who need to move heavy loads and aren't willing to stick to smooth tarmac. Its patented 6061 aluminium frame, EFBE-tested for durability, and the rigid chromoly Atlas X fork give the bike the structural backbone to handle rough tracks, unpaved paths and mixed-terrain routes. The 29" wheels fitted with Schwalbe Johnny Watts 29 x 2.6" tyres roll smoothly over uneven surfaces and keep the bike stable whether you're carrying a child seat, cargo bags or a loaded rack.

The Bosch Performance Line CX motor produces 85 Nm of torque with up to 340% assistance, making hills feel manageable even with a full load. The 800 Wh Bosch battery delivers between 93 and 161 km of range depending on terrain and assist level. The system is Dual Battery-compatible, allowing a second pack to be added for a total of 1,600 Wh — useful for long commutes or delivery routes. The Bosch Kiox 300 display with LED Remote and Connect Module also handles electronic locking, so you can secure the bike directly from the handlebar.

Power is transmitted through a Rohloff 14-speed hub (526% range) and a Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt. Unlike a standard chain drivetrain, this setup requires no lubrication, no derailleur alignment and no regular adjustment — it handles mud, rain and cold with no fuss. Stopping power comes from Magura MT5 4-piston hydraulic brakes with 203 mm rotors: progressive, reliable and strong enough to control a heavily loaded bike on a steep descent. The Atlas X rack is rated to 100 kg, contributing to a total system load of 210 kg on road.

Available in sizes M (155–185 cm) and L (165–195 cm), the Tern Orox R14 suits active families and working professionals alike. The integrated Ignis 700-lumen headlight and brake light mean the bike is ready for year-round use straight out of the box.
