Abus GameChanger TT flip flop purple

The ABUS GameChanger TT is the brand's aero helmet for time trialists, track cyclists and triathletes. Its aerodynamic shape, generous ventilation and low weight — 390 g in size M — make it as relevant on a fast course as on a hilly one. Shown here in flip flop purple, a finish that shifts hue with the angle of the light.

Ventilation relies on Forced Air Cooling: the vents are connected to each other by internal channels that guide incoming air through the helmet rather than letting it slide over the surface. Those large openings are made possible by Acti Cage™, a structural reinforcement foamed into the shell that keeps the whole thing stiff. The in-mould process bonds the EPS liner directly to the polycarbonate outer shell.

The magnetic visor attaches by magnets and shields the eyes from wind, rain and insects; it is easily removable and replaceable. The straps are stitched, so they need no strap dividers — best-case aerodynamics and a snug fit that doesn't flap at speed, which is the point of Flow Straps™ and their low flow resistance and reduced noise. The chin strap closes one-handed thanks to the magnetic FIDLOCK buckle, gloves on or off.

For comfort, the Zoom™ Spin adjustment system dials in head circumference with a rear wheel, and the opening in the height-adjustable system (Ponytail Fit) accommodates a ponytail, bun or braid. The Floating Pad, clicked into place at several points, stays flexible and well ventilated, and the pads are removable and hand-washable. The GameChanger TT is a German Design Award 2019 winner. No MIPS, no peak and no light; suitable for adults and teenagers.
