Description

The Abus HYP-E Gleam Silver is a city and e-bike helmet built around integrated visibility. It features rechargeable front and rear lights, plus turn signals operated by a wireless handlebar remote (OXI Wireless, 2.4 GHz). With five lighting modes and up to 40 hours of autonomy in flashing mode — all recharged via USB-C — it removes the need for clip-on lights. The shell combines In-Mould construction with a polycarbonate hard shell on the lower edges and EPS foam for solid impact protection. The Zoom Spin fit system adjusts both circumference and height, with a dedicated Ponytail Fit opening. A removable VentCover lets you open or close the vents depending on temperature. Inside, Comfort Pads are machine washable at 30°C. The helmet meets EN 1078, CPSC and NTA 8776 (S-Pedelec) safety standards, making it suitable for higher-speed e-bikes up to 45 km/h. Available in three sizes: S (51-55 cm), M (54-58 cm) and L (57-61 cm).

The clear version is made for riding at dusk: it shields your eyes without darkening your view, where a tinted visor would get in the way.
Its key feature is the patented MagneticHub: the visor fits in seconds, can be swapped, or moved to a parking position as soon as you no longer need it. It is not a permanently fitted part — add it, remove it or replace it whenever you like.
