The Abus IVY Chain 9210/140 is a high-security chain lock built for cyclists who leave their bike in exposed urban locations or need to meet insurance requirements. It carries an ABUS security rating of 13 out of 15, placing it among the most robust locks in the range.
The chain links are made from specially hardened steel with a 10 mm square cross-section, designed to resist bolt cutters and angle grinders. A flexible synthetic-fibre sleeve (IvyTex / Meshwebbing) covers the chain throughout: it protects against rust and damp, and prevents the chain from scratching your frame during everyday use.
The reversible key lock uses a single locking point — thread the chain around your frame, a wheel and a fixed anchor, then close one end. Two ergonomic keys are included. At 140 cm, the chain is long enough to loop around most bike racks or street furniture and still secure both the frame and a wheel.
