Abus Macator white silver

The ABUS Macator white silver is ABUS's entry-level road helmet: a sporty, versatile all-rounder for riders who want a good everyday helmet without paying race-model money. 300 g in size M, for a head circumference of 52 to 58 cm.

The shell is made using the in-mould process: the EPS foam is expanded directly into the polycarbonate outer shell, creating a durable bond between the two materials. ABUS highlights two things on this model — comfortable padding and generous ventilation — and offers it in a range of bright, highly visible colours.

Two features set it apart from pure race helmets: a removable clip-on peak, attached with pins, for sun protection; and the Bug Mesh, which keeps flies and other bugs off your head without blocking the ventilation.

Fit is adjusted with the Zoom™ Spin dial at the back of the head, on a full head ring, with a Ponytail Fit opening for a ponytail, bun or braids. Below the ears, the Flap Divider™ splits the straps and locks with a clamp. Finishing touches: Velcro-mounted Comfort Pads, removable and washable, and a three-pronged push-in buckle.
