The ABUS Pedelec 2.0 MIPS takes everything the Pedelec 2.0 offers and adds the Mips layer: a thin plastic shell between the padding and the energy-absorbing shell, countering the rotational forces of a crash — the ones that do the most damage in an oblique impact, the most common kind in town.

Otherwise it's the same helmet, with the same best idea: a built-in rain cap, stowed inside and pulled out when the shower starts.

Rechargeable rear light clipped to the back, two modes (steady and flashing), at least 3.5 h steady and 8 h flashing, full charge in about 1 h via Micro-USB. Glow Straps with woven-in reflective material and a reflector sticker complete the visibility package.

370 g in size M — that's 20 g more than the non-Mips version. That's all this extra protection costs on the scales.

In-mould construction, lower edge protected, Floating Pad clipped onto several anchor points, removable clip-on peak, Zoom™ Spin dial, Flap Divider™, magnetic FIDLOCK buckle, Ponytail Fit, Bug Mesh. Pads removable and washable.
