The ABUS PowerDome MIPS is a road and gravel cycling helmet made in Italy, built for riders who want genuine protection without sacrificing ventilation or wearing comfort. Its Multi-Shell In-Mold construction permanently bonds the outer polycarbonate shell to the EPS foam liner, resulting in a lightweight (260 g in size M) yet structurally resilient helmet. The MIPS system — a thin, low-friction layer between the padding and EPS shell — is the helmet's standout safety feature. In an oblique impact, this layer allows the helmet to rotate slightly relative to your head, reducing the rotational forces that can cause brain injury. Forced Air Cooling channels airflow through 10 inlets and 7 outlets, using deep internal grooves and a top air intake to create a Venturi effect that actively draws air across the head. The FlowStraps sit flush against the skin without flapping, and the removable, washable interior padding keeps the helmet fresh over time. Available in S (51–55 cm), M (54–58 cm) and L (57–61 cm), the PowerDome MIPS meets EN1078 certification. The height-adjustable Zoom Ace retention system also creates clearance at the rear for longer hairstyles and ponytails.
