Abus PURL-Y metallic copper

The ABUS PURL-Y metallic copper is an urban helmet with NTA certification — the Dutch standard written for fast bikes, which makes it particularly suited to e-bikes and S-pedelecs up to 45 km/h. 320 g in size M, for a head circumference of 54 to 58 cm.

It remains an excellent choice on a bike without assistance. The polycarbonate shell and the EPS foam are bonded through the in-mould process, and the rear sits low for better coverage of the neck area. Fit is adjusted with the Zoom™ Spin dial, on a full head ring, with enough room for a ponytail thanks to the Ponytail Fit opening.

Standard equipment: a removable clip-on peak held by pins, a Flap Divider™ strap divider with a clamp to lock the setting below the ears, a three-pronged push-in buckle and Velcro-mounted Comfort Pads, removable and washable. For visibility, ABUS adds a reflector sticker and a Bug Mesh that keeps insects out without restricting ventilation.

A rechargeable magnetic rear light (Micro-USB cable) is available as an option: it is not included. To get it fitted as standard, choose the PURL-Y ACE. This model has no Mips.
