The ABUS Skurb ACE goldfish orange takes the Skurb's round shell — "a special approach to life and an unique style" — and adds the one thing that sets them apart: lower edge protection. 310 g in size M, for a head circumference of 55 to 59 cm, exactly like the Skurb.

That protection is a polycarbonate shell covering the helmet's lower rim: it takes the scratches, impacts and wear — precisely where a skate helmet gets knocked about when you set it down, throw it in a bag or drop it. Everything else is identical between the two: ABUS classes both as a skate, BMX and urban helmet.

Mind the sizing: this shape runs wider than the brand's road helmets (54-58 cm in M). Measure your head before choosing.
