Abus Skurb midnight blue

The ABUS Skurb midnight blue takes a clear stance — "a special approach to life and an unique style", as ABUS puts it. It is the round shell of a skate helmet, and the brand classes it as exactly that: a skate, BMX and urban helmet, for the city and the skatepark alike. 310 g in size M, for a head circumference of 55 to 59 cm.

Mind the sizing: this shape runs wider than the brand's road helmets (54-58 cm in M). Measure your head before choosing.

The shell is made using the in-mould process: the EPS foam is expanded directly into the polycarbonate outer shell. Fit is adjusted with the Zoom™ Spin dial at the back of the head, on a full head ring, with a Ponytail Fit opening for a ponytail, bun or braids.

Below the ears, the Flap Divider™ splits the straps and locks with a clamp. Finishing touches: Velcro-mounted Comfort Pads, removable and washable, a three-pronged push-in buckle and a reflector sticker for visibility after dark.
