Description

The Abus uGrip BORDO 5700K/100 is a folding lock designed for urban cyclists who want meaningful security without sacrificing convenience. Its 8 steel bars, each 5 mm thick, are connected by special rivets and fold down into a compact, easy-to-carry package when not in use.

At 100 cm long, it gives you enough reach to secure both your frame and a wheel around most street fixtures. The key-operated locking system uses a high-quality automatic cylinder: just close the lock and it engages on its own — no need to turn the key to lock, only to unlock. Two keys are included.

The /100 variant features CTM (Convenient Transport Mode), which keeps the lock folded securely during transport so it won't accidentally open in your bag or on the mount. The SH 5700/100 holder is included and attaches to your frame via velcro straps or bottle cage bolts — no tools required.

At around 1090 g, this isn't the lightest folding lock on the market, but that weight reflects the use of solid steel throughout. It's a well-suited option for city riders who park regularly in moderate to higher-risk areas.
