Abus Youn-I 2.0 mono red

The ABUS Youn-I 2.0 mono red is the helmet that bridges two generations: ABUS designed it for young riders and for adults with smaller heads, who often cannot find a helmet that fits. 260 g in size M, for a head circumference of 52 to 57 cm, in sizes S and M.

It comes with its clip-on rear light, which attaches to the back of the shell. Two modes — steady and flashing — for at least 12 hours in continuous mode and 24 hours flashing. Worth knowing: it runs on a CR2032 cell, not a rechargeable battery — nothing to plug in, a battery to replace.

The shell is made using the in-mould process: the EPS foam is expanded directly into the polycarbonate outer shell. Fit is set with the Zoom™ Spin dial on a full head ring, with a Ponytail Fit opening for a ponytail, bun or braids. Flap Divider™ strap divider with a clamp below the ears, three-pronged push-in buckle, Velcro-mounted Comfort Pads, removable and washable.

Add a reflector sticker and a Bug Mesh that keeps insects out without restricting ventilation. This model has neither Mips nor a peak: for Mips, choose the Youn-I MIPS.
