Description
The ABUS Youn-I MIPS polar matt is the Youn-I fitted with the Mips system. 260 g, and a head circumference of 48 to 54 cm in size S — ABUS aims it at children and teenagers.
Mips (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a thin plastic shell placed between the inner padding and the energy-absorbing shell. It counteracts rotational forces in a fall: according to ABUS, the system can reduce the energy of the impact by up to 40 %, significantly lessening the strain on the brain.
The helmet comes with its clip-on rear light (2 modes, steady and flashing, at least 12 hours continuous and 24 hours flashing, CR2032 cell) and a removable clip-on peak. In-mould shell, Zoom™ Spin dial on a full head ring, Flap Divider™ with clamp, three-pronged push-in buckle, removable and washable Comfort Pads.
Plus the reflector sticker and the insect-stopping Bug Mesh. Worth knowing: no Ponytail Fit opening on this version.
