This single-sided torque sensor is the official Brompton replacement part for CE Line, PE Line and TE Line models. It reads the effort you put into pedalling and signals the electric assist system to respond accordingly.

Over time, the sensor can wear or drift out of calibration, causing the assist to feel erratic or fail to engage altogether. Fitting a new torque sensor brings the assist response back to its original, predictable behaviour.
