The Garmin Edge Explore 3 is an easy-to-use GPS bike computer designed for weekend rides, commuting, bike touring and e-bikes. It brings the essentials together on a vivid, responsive colour touchscreen: ride data, maps, alerts and directions, with battery life that goes the distance.

For navigation, it comes with detailed cycling maps (Cycle Map and TopoActive) and turn-by-turn directions. Route options help you choose by ride time, total elevation or bike type, Up Ahead shows the nearest points of interest along your route (coffee shops, restrooms, petrol stations) and Free Flow Routing favours routes with fewer stops and intersections. Community alerts warn you of potholes, road closures or aggressive animals reported by other Garmin cyclists. New: send a pin or place from Google Maps or Apple Maps on your smartphone and the Edge builds a bike-specific route.

For e-bikes, it connects to compatible systems such as Bosch smart system or SHIMANO E-Bike to show battery level, assist mode and more (depending on the model), and offers routing that takes your e-bike's range into account. The commuter ride profile shows the CO2 you save in real time.

For safety and fitness: incident detection, LiveTrack location sharing, real-time weather alerts, bike alarm, Find My Edge and compatibility with Varia radars, cameras and lights. Free Garmin Cycling Coach plans, including for beginners, offer guided workouts that adapt to your performance. Garmin Link automatically connects your compatible Garmin watch to show wrist-based heart rate. It also works with power meters and smart trainers.
