Giro SWITCHBLADE MIPS Bike Helmet noir
One helmet, two disciplines: the Switchblade MIPS switches from trail to full DH in seconds.

Description
The Giro Switchblade MIPS is a convertible full-face helmet built for riders who move between disciplines without wanting to carry two lids. The chin bar detaches in seconds using buttons underneath — no tools, no fuss. In half-shell mode it weighs around 686 g; with the chin bar fitted, around 975 g (size Medium).
What sets the Switchblade apart from most convertibles is its dual certification: it meets ASTM-1952-DH, EN-1078, and CPSC standards both with and without the chin bar. The integrated MIPS liner adds a slip-plane layer inside the shell that reduces rotational forces during an angled impact — active in both configurations.
Wind Tunnel ventilation channels air through the hard shell, while the hydrophilic X-Static cheek pads wick sweat and dry quickly — useful comfort on summer enduro stages. The P.O.V. Plus visor adjusts one-handed across three positions, includes a camera mount, and a spare visor is included in the box.
Available in Small (51–55 cm), Medium (55–59 cm), and Large (59–63 cm) in Matte/Gloss Black. D-ring buckle and a bump-protected Roc Loc Air DH retention dial complete the package — a versatile choice for technical trail, enduro racing, and DH.
