The Ortlieb Back-Roller Free QL2.1 panniers come as a pair, delivering 40 litres of total capacity (2 × 20 L per pair). Whether you're commuting with a laptop and change of clothes or heading off on a bikepacking trip for a few days, the volume is there without bulk. Waterproofing is handled by a roll-top closure — simply roll down the top and clip it shut. No separate rain cover needed. The fabric is a PU-coated polyester (PD62/PS60), free from PVC, which keeps the bags lightweight and environmentally friendlier than older materials. Attachment is via Ortlieb's Quick-Lock QL2.1 system: the upper hooks and sliding lower hook adjust to your rack and stay put once set, holding up to 9 kg per pannier. Inserts for 8, 10 and 12 mm tube diameters are included in the box, covering the vast majority of rear racks. Inside, a zipped mesh pocket keeps smaller items organised.
