The Ortlieb Back-Roller Plus QL2.2 is a rear pannier built for everyday cycling, whether you're commuting, running errands, or heading out on longer trips. With a total volume of 23 litres — 20 L in the main compartment and 3 L in a separate outer pocket — there's room for a day's worth of gear without overpacking. The Quick-Lock 2.2 (QL2.2) mounting system requires no tools and adjusts to fit rack tubes between 8 and 16 mm in diameter. That means the pannier clicks on and off in a single motion, with no reducers or extra hardware needed. At 42 × 23/32 × 17 cm, it fits most standard rear racks without issue. Waterproofing is handled by a roll-closure on both the main compartment and the outer pocket, backed by an IP64 rating — meaning it resists dust and water spray from every direction. The shell is made from PU-coated Cordura, a PVC-free fabric that's tough against abrasion while being easier on the environment than traditional coated plastics. Inside, an organiser pocket with a large slip pocket and a small zipped mesh pocket keeps smaller items within reach. Two 3M Scotchlite reflective panels improve visibility at night, and the included removable shoulder strap with dual attachment points makes it practical to carry once you're off the bike.
