The Ortlieb Commuter-Bag Urban QL3.1 (20 L) is a pannier designed specifically for daily commuting. At 31 × 40 × 14 cm and around 900 g, it balances generous capacity with a compact, structured profile that fits neatly on the rack. The Quick-Lock 3.1 mounting system lets you attach or remove the bag in a single motion. The back panel stays clean and hook-free, which matters when you're carrying it into a meeting. Mounting tubes up to 10 mm diameter are supported directly; adapters included in the box extend compatibility to 16 mm tubes. The bag can be fitted on either the left or right side of the rack. Inside, the A4-format main compartment features a height-adjustable flap secured by two metal buckles, a padded laptop sleeve, and a dedicated organiser with two zipped pockets, pen loops, a key clip and a tablet pocket (8" or 10"). A front zip pocket under the flap provides quick access to essentials without opening the main compartment. The PS55C Cordura blend fabric is PU-coated and entirely PVC-free, achieving an IP53 protection rating — enough to handle a typical wet commute. 3M reflective panels on both sides keep you visible at dusk and in the dark, and the removable microfibre shoulder strap with padded grip makes the transition from bike to office smooth and comfortable.
