The Ortlieb Duffle RC 89L is a serious travel bag built for people who need real capacity and real weather protection. At 89 litres (40 × 71 × 40 cm), it comfortably swallows multi-day expedition kit, nautical gear, or the load of a long cargo-bike tour. Weatherproofing comes from two sources working together: a roll-top closure — a fold-and-buckle system with no zip to fail — and a PD620 coated ripstop polyester shell rated IP64. That means full dust protection and resistance to water spray from any direction. The ripstop weave also stops any tear from spreading once it starts. For carrying, removable padded shoulder straps convert the bag from a duffel to a backpack in moments, while a top handle gives you a third option for short carries. The daisy chains on the top and bottom panels let you lash tents, sleeping mats or technical equipment to the outside without digging into your packing space. Empty weight is 1,310 g — solid for a bag this size.
