The Ortlieb Messenger-Bag 39 L is a cycling backpack designed for everyday commuters and couriers who need reliable weather protection without compromising on capacity. Made from PVC-coated polyester (PD620 / PS620C) with a roll-closure top, it carries an IP64 rating — meaning it's dust-proof and protected against water splashing from any direction. No separate rain cover required. At 50 × 39 × 15 cm and 1,300 g, the bag offers a generous 39 litres of space for a laptop, change of clothes and daily essentials, while remaining light when empty. The flexible roll closure lets you fine-tune the volume to match your load. The carrying system is tailored to cycling: a ventilated foam back panel, contoured shoulder straps with reflective strips, plus chest and waist belts to keep the bag firmly in place while riding. Side reflectors and protective corner guards on the base add extra durability and visibility. An integrated carry handle makes hand-carrying straightforward when you're off the bike. Manufactured in Heilsbronn, Germany, the Messenger-Bag comes with a 5-year warranty.
