The Ortlieb Ultimate Free 5 L is a handlebar bag designed for riders who need quick, reliable access to navigation and essentials without stopping. The lockable magnetic lid can be opened with a single hand while riding, and the integrated transparent window (21 × 12 cm) lets you view and tap a touchscreen smartphone or GPS without removing it from the bag. Rated IP54, the bag resists dust and splashes from any direction when closed — so your gear stays dry through commutes and mixed-weather rides. The shell is made from PU-coated polyester (no PVC), and a 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflector on the front face adds passive visibility in low-light conditions. Inside, you get 5 litres of space and a zippered inner pocket with a key hook. Once you lock your bike, the removable shoulder strap converts the bag into a compact shoulder bag — no repacking needed. It mounts on handlebars up to Ø 31.8 mm, including tapered bars, and is compatible with Ortlieb mounting kits (including the e-bike kit E207) and Rixen & Kaul KlickFix systems.
