ORTLIEB Vario QL3.1 26 L

The Ortlieb Vario QL3.1 26 L is a hybrid pannier-backpack built for commuters who want a single bag that works on the bike and off it. The Quick-Lock 3.1 system lets you clip the bag onto a compatible rack and release it again with one smooth motion, no fiddling required. Unfold the padded back panel and shoulder straps stored inside, and you have a comfortable backpack ready in seconds, complete with a chest strap for heavier loads. The rolltop closure – a roll-down seal secured with a metal hook – combined with PU-coated nylon (made in Germany, PVC-free) makes the bag fully waterproof. With 26 litres of capacity and a maximum load of 9 kg, it handles a full day's worth of gear without compromise. Inside, a dedicated padded laptop compartment fits screens up to 14 inches (internal dimensions 34 x 25 x 2.5 cm). A front zippered pocket gives quick access to keys, cards or your phone. The bag measures 47 x 31 cm with a depth of 21–22 cm and weighs 1,480 g, in a warm Rooibos red-brown finish. The QL3.1 system is natively compatible with racks featuring mounting tubes up to 10 mm; adapters for 11–16 mm tubes are available separately. A practical, no-nonsense choice for daily cycling between city and desk.
