The Ortlieb Velo-Shopper QL2.1 18 L is a single rear pannier built for everyday cyclists — commuters, city riders and anyone who regularly runs errands by bike. At 18 litres (40 × 23/32 × 17 cm), it holds a substantial grocery shop or a full day's work kit, with a maximum load of 9 kg. The Quick-Lock 2.1 system clips securely onto rack tubes ranging from 8 to 16 mm in diameter (and up to 18–20 mm with the included QL2.1 hooks). A set of reducer inserts for 8, 10 and 12 mm tubes is included in the box. Attaching or removing the bag takes one hand and one second — no straps to thread, no levers to wrestle with. The magnetic closure flap opens just as easily, handy when you're fishing out your wallet or keys at the supermarket checkout. The shell is made from PU-coated nylon (PS33), free of PVC, with an IP53 splash-protection rating. That means it handles typical commuting rain comfortably, keeping your groceries and gear dry during everyday showers. Inside, a zipped inner pocket includes a pen holder and a carabiner key clip so small items stay organised rather than rattling around at the bottom. Away from the bike, a padded removable shoulder strap and a built-in carry handle mean the bag works perfectly as a standalone shopper or tote.
