ORTLIEB Velocity 29 L

The ORTLIEB Velocity 29 L is a messenger-style backpack built for commuters who need their gear to stay dry, every single day. The roll-velcro closure paired with an IP64 rating — full dust protection and resistance to water sprayed from any direction — keeps the interior completely sealed even in heavy rain. At 29 litres (50 × 33 × 21 cm, max load 10 kg), there's room for a full day's worth of kit. A padded internal sleeve accommodates laptops up to 15 inches (36 × 24.5 cm). The zipped outer pocket — exclusive to the 29 L version — gives quick access to essentials without opening the main compartment. A4-format folders and documents fit flat without folding. Carrying comfort comes from ergonomic shoulder straps with reflective threading, an aerated foam back panel that reduces back sweat, and a removable, adjustable chest and hip belt. Reinforced corner protectors at the base add durability, and the integrated clip accepts an optional rear light or helmet. Manufactured in Heilsbronn, Germany, the Velocity is also repairable through ORTLIEB — including velcro replacement — making it a genuinely long-term investment.
