Description
The Shimano CN-E6070 is a chain developed specifically for electric bikes running Shimano STEPS E6000 or E8000 drive systems. Where a standard bike chain would wear prematurely under motor-assisted torque, this chain features reinforced steel plates and chrome-treated pins designed to cope with the extra load.
At 118 links, it suits the typical frame sizes used in everyday e-bike setups. The HG (Hyperglide) design is non-directional, meaning there's no need to check orientation during fitting — a small but genuinely useful detail when doing home maintenance. Connection is made via the included connecting pin.
This chain is designed for single-chainring drivetrains, which is the standard layout on Shimano STEPS e-bikes. Keeping the chain in good condition and replacing it on schedule also protects the rest of your drivetrain components from premature wear.
