Description

The Shimano CS-M4100-10 is part of the Deore M4100 groupset, a dependable choice for trail and all-mountain riders who want reliable performance without breaking the bank. Its 10-speed cassette spans 11 to 42 teeth (11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-37-42), giving you a well-spaced progression that suits a wide variety of terrain.

Shimano's Hyperglide (HG) technology shapes each sprocket tooth and transition ramp to make gear changes faster and smoother — you'll notice the difference especially when shifting under load on a climb. The 42-tooth sprocket at the top end gives you the low gear you need to tackle steep sections without grinding your knees.

Installation is straightforward on any Shimano HG freehub, which is also compatible with SRAM hubs designed for 8, 9 or 10-speed cassettes. Pair it with a Shimano HG-X 10-speed chain for best results. A solid, no-fuss component choice for MTB riders at any level.
