The Unit 1 Faro Blackbird redefines what a cycling helmet can do. Built around a hard ABS shell and EPS liner, it delivers solid impact protection — and the integrated MIPS low-friction insert adds a layer of rotational force management that matters most in the kind of angled impacts that happen in real-world crashes.

What sets the Faro apart is its fully integrated lighting system. Discreet LEDs wrap around the helmet to provide 360° visibility — front, rear and sides — with more than 500 lumens of output. Automatic brake lights activate the moment you slow down, and turn signals can be triggered via a handlebar remote (sold separately), so your hands stay where they belong.

The built-in accelerometer powers the Crash Alert feature: if a fall is detected and you don't confirm you're okay within a set window, the helmet automatically sends an SMS with your GPS location to your emergency contacts. Everything is managed through the UNIT 1 app (iOS & Android), where you can customise lighting modes, monitor battery status and set up your alert contacts.

Available in three sizes (S, M, L) with a rear dial for fine-tuning fit, and a one-hand Fidlock® magnetic buckle for quick, secure fastening. The IPX-6 rating means rain is never an issue.
