Description
The VELO DE VILLE rain canopy for the LOADY is designed exclusively for this longtail cargo bike, ensuring a precise fit without any improvisation. It shields rear passengers from wind and rain, making everyday journeys with children genuinely comfortable in wet conditions.
The interior space is thoughtfully sized: approximately 81 cm high without a seat cushion and around 75 cm with one, giving children enough room to sit without feeling cramped. Foot protection panels are included on both left and right sides, attached with a zip, velcro strap and elastic cord at the footrest, so protection runs all the way to the ground.
Fitting is straightforward: the canopy attaches under the rear rack crossbars with velcro, while the included mounting screws (M6x16 at the front, 6–8 Nm torque with Loctite 243 recommended) ensure a secure, stable installation. Important safety note: the canopy changes how the LOADY handles. Wind and rain can affect stability, so adjust your speed and riding style accordingly. Children under 7 must be secured in a compatible MIK-HD child seat.
