Description
The Cube ACID 240 DISC is a youth mountain bike built around 24-inch wheels, intended for kids who want to ride with purpose. The heat-treated 6061 aluminium Lite frame keeps the overall weight to 11.8 kg — manageable for young riders while remaining sturdy enough for off-road use.
The standout feature is the Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brake system (160 mm rotors front and rear). Unlike traditional rim brakes, hydraulic discs require very little hand strength to activate and maintain consistent performance regardless of weather — a meaningful safety upgrade for children still building their bike-handling skills.
The 8-speed Shimano drivetrain — pairing the RD-M3020 rear derailleur, SL-M315 Rapidfire-Plus shifters and a Sunrace CSM55 11-34 cassette — provides a wide gear range that makes climbing hills accessible without overexertion. The SR Suntour SF20 XCT JR fork with 60 mm of travel smooths out roots and gravel, while the integrated chainguard protects clothing and keeps the chain in place.
Available in the actionteam colourway, the ACID 240 DISC is offered in a single size suited to the 24-inch wheel format, as part of Cube's 2026–2027 range.
