Description

The Cube Editor SLX is a premium city bike built for riders who commute regularly and want a low-maintenance, clean, and dependable machine. Its defining feature is the Gates CDX Carbon belt drive, which replaces a conventional chain entirely. In practice, that means no grease on your clothes, no oiling routine, and a noticeably quieter ride from day one.

Gearing is handled by a Shimano Alfine SG-S7001 11-speed hub — all the moving parts are sealed inside the rear wheel, protected from rain, mud and road grime. Shifting is controlled by the Shimano Alfine SL-S700 trigger shifter, and you can change gear even when stationary, which makes stop-start urban riding much more natural.

Braking comes from Shimano BL-RS600/405 hydraulic disc brakes (160/180 mm), which provide strong, modulated stopping power regardless of conditions. At the front, Cube's own full carbon TK Disc C:62® fork takes the edge off rough surfaces while keeping weight down. The Aluminium Superlite double-butted frame rounds out a build that balances stiffness with everyday usability.

Schwalbe Motion Big Apple 55 mm tyres give the Editor SLX a generous contact patch and comfortable ride quality on cobblestones, cycle paths, and mixed urban terrain. This is a city bike designed to be used hard and maintained as little as possible. Weight: 12.4 kg.
