Description
The Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1 is an endurance road bike built for riders who spend long hours in the saddle. The Advanced-grade Composite frame and the D-Fuse SL composite seatpost work together to absorb road vibrations, reducing fatigue over extended rides. A 12x142 mm rear thru-axle and the Advanced SL-grade Composite fork provide precise steering and lateral stiffness where it matters.
The SRAM Rival AXS E1 groupset is fully wireless: no cables, no housing, and minimal maintenance. The 2x12-speed setup with a 10-36 cassette gives you a wide range of gears for flat roads and challenging climbs alike. A standout feature is the Quarq power meter integrated into the SRAM Rival E1 DUB crankset — it measures your effort in real time, giving you the training data you need without purchasing a separate device.
The Giant SLR 1 40 Carbon Disc WheelSystem features 40 mm-deep hookless carbon rims with a 22.4 mm internal width, tubeless-ready out of the box. They accept tyres up to 40 mm, and come fitted with Giant Gavia Fondo 0 700x32c tubeless tyres, striking a good balance between rolling efficiency and ride comfort. Braking is handled by SRAM Rival AXS E1 hydraulic disc brakes with PaceLine 160 mm rotors on both ends, delivering predictable and powerful stopping regardless of conditions.
The Giant Contact SL D-Fuse handlebar features an 8° flare for a more controlled hand position on descents, while the Contact SL AeroLight stem is sized per frame. The bike also comes with mudguard mounts, bottle cage bosses, and is tubeless-prepped, making it a genuinely versatile road companion.
