Description
The Giant Defy Advanced-Ui2 is an endurance road bike engineered for riders who want to cover serious distances without arriving exhausted. The Advanced-Grade Composite frame is built using a Modified Monocoque Construction process, delivering a lightweight structure that actively absorbs road vibration — something a standard aluminium frame simply cannot match over long rides.
Shifting is handled by a full Shimano Ultegra Di2 12-speed electronic groupset. Electronic shifting means gear changes are instant and accurate with the lightest touch, even mid-climb or under heavy pedalling loads. Paired with Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes, you get reliable, modulated stopping power in rain, wind, or dry conditions alike.
Two details set the Defy apart for comfort: the Giant Contact SL D-Fuse handlebar with an 8° flare and the composite D-Fuse seatpost. Both are engineered to flex slightly and filter out the high-frequency buzz from rough tarmac, keeping your hands, arms, and back fresher for longer. The full-composite fork with 12x100mm thru-axle rounds things out with precise, confidence-inspiring steering.
With tyre clearance up to 40mm, the Defy Advanced-Ui2 opens the door to wider, more comfortable tyres — a smart choice for endurance riding on varied road surfaces. Available in Tempest Purple across sizes S to XL.
