Giant Trance X 29 2

The Giant Trance X 29 2 is a full-suspension trail mountain bike built around Giant's ALUXX SL-Grade aluminium frame and Maestro rear suspension platform, offering 135 mm of rear travel. Paired with a Fox Float DPS Performance shock tuned specifically by Giant, the rear end is responsive under pedalling yet plush enough to keep the wheel planted on rough ground.

Up front, the RockShox 35 Gold RL fork adds 150 mm of travel to smooth out trail chatter and bigger hits alike, while its 15x110 mm thru-axle keeps the front wheel precisely tracking. The 29-inch wheels — shod with Maxxis tubeless-ready tyres — roll over trail obstacles more easily than smaller formats and maintain speed through rough sections.

The SRAM SX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain keeps things simple: one chainring up front (30t), twelve gears at the rear via an 11-50t cassette, and a single lever to shift. There's no front derailleur to adjust or accidentally drop a chain onto. The wide gear range means you'll rarely be spinning out on a descent or grinding to a halt on a climb.

The included Giant Contact Switch dropper post (up to 170 mm of drop depending on size) is a genuine trailriding essential — you lower the saddle before a descent with a thumb press and raise it again for the next climb, all without stopping. The cockpit is completed by a 780 mm Giant Contact SL TR35 bar for confident handling. A flip chip in the frame lets you switch between two geometry settings, adapting the bike's handling character to the terrain or your personal preference. Available in S, M, L and XL.
