The Merida BIG.NINE 200 is a 29-inch hardtail trail bike that hits a practical sweet spot: genuinely capable componentry at a price that makes sense. The BIG.NINE TFS V aluminium frame features smoothed welds for a clean finish and a stiff, reliable platform across five frame sizes (S through XXL).
Up front, the SR Suntour XCR32 Boost air fork delivers 120 mm of suspension travel to soak up trail chatter, roots and rocks. A remote lockout on the handlebar lets you firm up the fork instantly for climbs or smooth fire roads, then open it back up when the terrain gets rough again. The Shimano CUES 1x10 drivetrain keeps things simple with a single 32-tooth chainring and an 11-48t cassette that covers everything from punishing gradients to flowing singletrack.
Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors deliver consistent, progressive stopping power — the kind of control that builds confidence on descents and in unpredictable conditions. The Merida Comp CC II aluminium rims are tubeless ready and wrapped in Kenda Booster 29x2.4" tyres for solid traction and compliance on mixed terrain.
Finished in Matt Grey with Glitter Cherry detailing, the BIG.NINE 200 weighs around 13.6 kg in size M and takes a maximum system weight of 135 kg — a straightforward, well-specified trail bike that delivers where it matters most.
