Description
The Merida BIG NINE TR 5000 is a 29" trail hardtail aimed at riders who want capable, trail-ready performance with quality components throughout. The BIG.NINE TR CF3 III carbon frame keeps weight low while providing the stiffness needed for efficient climbing and confident cornering. Tyre clearance up to 29x2.4" gives you room to run wider rubber on looser ground.
The RockShox Judy Gold Air fork delivers 120 mm of smooth, tuneable travel to soak up roots and rocks on technical sections. A remote lockout on the handlebar lets you firm it up instantly on climbs. Boost spacing (110x15 mm front, 148x12 mm rear) adds lateral stiffness across the whole wheel-frame interface — something you'll notice most when pushing hard through corners.
The Shimano XT 1×12 drivetrain paired with a Shimano Deore M6100 10-51t cassette covers every gradient without a front derailleur to worry about. Braking is handled by Shimano SLX M7100 two-piston hydraulic calipers with 180 mm front and 160 mm rear rotors — consistent and powerful even in wet conditions.
Merida Expert CC II Tubeless Ready aluminium rims let you run the wheel setup without inner tubes, reducing puncture risk and allowing lower tyre pressures for better grip. The built-in Merida dropper seatpost makes position changes mid-ride effortless. Available in sizes S through XXL.
