Description

The Merida BIG.NINE TR 8000 is a 29" trail hardtail built for riders who push hard both on the climbs and on technical descents. The CF3 Nano Matrix carbon frame with Flex-Stay rear triangle takes the edge off rough terrain while keeping the stiff, responsive pedalling platform that makes hardtails fast.

Shifting is handled by the SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS T-Type 12-speed wireless groupset, paired with a 10-52t cassette for a wide range that handles steep climbs and fast flat sections alike. No gear cables means less maintenance and better reliability in wet or muddy conditions.

The Fox 34 Float SC Performance Elite fork provides 120 mm of travel with a 2-position remote lockout — flip it closed on the fireroad, open it back up before the singletrack. Reynolds TR Carbon tubeless-ready wheels and Maxxis Rekon / Rekon Race 29" x 2.4" 3C MaxxTerra tyres round out a spec sheet focused on real-world trail performance.

A carbon Merida Team CC II handlebar (760 mm wide), a SRAM AXS POD controller, and an ACROS ICR integrated headset with internal cable routing show the level of thought that has gone into this build. Available in sizes S through XL.

Its fibre-reinforced Composite Matrix construction combines strength and light weight, with easy bottle access (right-side mounting). The integrated container holds a multi-tool below the cage and CO2 cartridges on either side. The Loaded version includes a CO2 head, a V-Pro 17 multi-tool with tubeless repair tool and two 20 g CO2 cartridges (CO2 not available in all countries).
