The Merida MATTS J.24+ is a junior mountain bike built for kids who want to explore beyond the pavement. The double-butted 6061 aluminium frame keeps the bike light without sacrificing durability — ready for rough tracks and schoolyard knocks alike.
Safety is covered by Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, which deliver consistent, progressive stopping power whether the trail is dry or muddy. The Shimano RD-M370 rear derailleur paired with the Shimano SL-M315-8 shifter gives young riders 8 smooth, easy-to-use gears for tackling any gradient.
The 24 x 2.35" tyres provide reassuring grip across mixed terrain, and the rigid aluminium fork keeps handling light and predictable. Handlebar width (620 mm) and crank length (140 mm) are proportioned for riders standing 129 to 137 cm tall, keeping the riding position natural and comfortable.
Day-to-day practicality is built in: an adjustable centre kickstand is included as standard, and integrated mounts allow you to add mudguards, a bottle cage or a rear rack whenever your child's rides demand it.
