The Merida SILEX 7000 is a high-end carbon gravel bike built for riders who want to move freely between paved roads, gravel tracks, and light singletracks. The Silex CF2 II carbon frame uses an MTB-inspired geometry — slightly more relaxed than a pure race gravel bike — giving you better stability and confidence on mixed terrain while remaining quick and efficient on road.
Drivetrain duties are handled by a full Shimano GRX 820 1x12-speed groupset: a single 42-tooth chainring up front and a wide-range Shimano CS-M7100 10-51T cassette at the rear. This setup covers everything from steep climbs to fast descents without the need for a front derailleur. GRX 820 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors provide strong, consistent and modular braking regardless of weather conditions.
Shimano WH-RX180 700C wheels with a 25 mm internal rim width are fitted with Maxxis Rambler 700x45C EXO tubeless-ready tyres — a generous size that cushions road vibration, bites into gravel corners, and can be converted to a tubeless setup for a smoother, more puncture-resistant ride. The carbon Silex II CF2 fork accepts tyres up to 700x47C and includes cargo mounts for a handlebar bag or extra cages.
The frame is loaded with practical features: five pairs of bottle cage bosses, bag and mudguard mounts, plus internal routing for a dropper post and dynamo lighting. Available from XXS to XL, the SILEX 7000 weighs 9.5 kg in size M (manufacturer figure) and covers the full spectrum of gravel riding.
