Description
The Merida SILEX RS 7000 is a high-performance carbon gravel bike aimed at riders who compete or train hard on mixed surfaces. The Silex CF2 II carbon frame uses Nano Matrix technology for improved impact resistance without sacrificing the stiffness that race-oriented riding demands. The frame clears tyres up to 700x45C and the tapered carbon fork up to 700x47C, giving you room to adapt your setup to the terrain.
Shifting is handled by a full Shimano Di2 12-speed electronic groupset, with the RD-RX717 rear derailleur ensuring clean, accurate changes under load or in adverse conditions — no cables to stretch or adjust. The Rotor Vegast crankset with its 42-tooth aero chainring keeps your pedalling efficient, while the wide-range cassette covers the spread needed for both fast flats and steep climbs.
Fulcrum Soniq GR wheels come pre-fitted with Schwalbe G-ONE RX Performance Line RaceGuard 700x45C tubeless-ready tyres. Running tubeless means you can drop tyre pressure for better traction on rough terrain while still rolling smoothly on tarmac. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm CL700 rotors provide dependable stopping power regardless of weather.
The Vision 5D SMR handlebar is sized to match each frame — 380 mm for XXS/XS/S, 400 mm for M/L, and 420 mm for XL — and the Merida Expert SL II saddle ships with an integrated mini-tool. A thoroughly spec'd gravel race bike, ready to ride for the 2026-2027 season.
