Description
The Merida SILEX RS 9000 is the race-oriented version of the SILEX line, built for riders who want to compete in long-distance gravel events without compromising on comfort or tyre clearance. It keeps the familiar SILEX geometry and generous tyre clearance, while adding a full suite of performance-focused components: an aero one-piece cockpit, an aero Rotor ALDHU chainring, and Fulcrum Sharq GR carbon wheels.
The Shimano GRX Di2 electronic drivetrain delivers clean, instant shifts across 12 speeds at the touch of a button. The 10-51t cassette provides a wide range that handles steep climbs and fast flats with equal ease. Hydraulic Shimano GRX825 brakes with 180 mm rotors deliver consistent stopping power in any weather.
The SILEX CF2 II carbon frame features internal cable routing via the WIRE PORT system and dropped chainstays for added comfort on long rides. It clears tyres up to 700x45C, with the carbon fork going up to 700x47C. The bike ships with Schwalbe G-One RX 700x45C tubeless-ready tyres with RaceGuard protection — ready to run without inner tubes. The Merida Team SL II carbon seatpost (27.2 mm) further smooths out rough surfaces.
Available in six sizes from XXS to XL, with a size-matched cockpit, the SILEX RS 9000 sits between the more aggressive MISSION and the adventure-oriented standard SILEX — a genuinely balanced option for gravel racing and long mixed-terrain rides.
